The Villa at Merida is your gateway to Chichen
Itza, The New 7 Wonder of the World. The hotel is located
in the heart of ''The White City of Merida'', named due
to the whitish innate construction material from the
region used in almost all buildings. The property was
originally owned by a 19th century nobleman and has been
restored and elegantly decorated, maintaining the
original architecture and essence of this traditional
hacienda. The building has fine-looking spacious arched
porches, beautiful wrought ironwork, typical hacienda
style hand made ornaments throughout, exotic gardens, and
a refreshing fountain and pool.
The seven suites that comprised the hotel were
meticulously decorated, the unique artwork hanging the
walls, along with each piece of furniture, were handmade
by local artisans and choosen by the owners, who also run
and managed the hotel. Colonial luxuriousness and
contemporary comfort are perfectly amalgamated in all
guestrooms at The Villa at Merida.
Seven breathtaking suites comprised the intimate colonial
hotel The Villa at Merida. Contemporary artwork from the
owner’s personal collection, hangs on the walls of these
unique well appointed rooms with dark wood furnishing
made by Yucatecan hands, as well as high ceilings will
give you an extra sense of coolness and amplitude.
Despite its rustic colonial atmosphere, the Courtyard and
the Garden Suites provide contemporary comforts and
amenities such as top of the line beds and pillows,
imported bed linens, minibar, TV and satellite, along
with handmade bathroom toiletries supply by a local
company.
